Why work for Stanthorpe Vet Care

The values that SVCS strive to uphold are:

It is because of our dedication to uphold our values that we have been able to create a positive and supportive work culture at Stanthorpe Vet Care. We share a clear vision to collaborate with respect, care and compassion, and to continue to foster a strong team bond based on trust, gratitude, integrity, and accountability. This flows out to our excellence in patient and client care.

We employ large and small animal vets with a diverse range of special interests, highly skilled vet nursing staff, groomers, kennel hands, friendly reception staff, and we love to have placement students working towards their degrees in the veterinary field.

Our team are all supported through continued professional development to ensure we are maintaining our capability to practice the best possible standards of veterinary medicine.

We are a clinic that is proud to be a part of an amazing community and we aim to provide our clients and their beloved pets or livestock with the best veterinary team possible!

Benefits

Client care: We are dedicated to pet wellness and use science-based evidence. We know that helping our furry clients starts with providing their human parents with a good understanding of healthcare issues and treatment options. We want our clients to feel fully supported, and to provide them with sound advice first and foremost.

Team communication: Collaboration shares knowledge and strengthens rapport. Active listening, giving and receiving feedback is the norm and starts before the doors open with the first of our regular morning meating, ward and clinic rounds. This not only promotes harmony, but provides a learning platform.

Training: We may be considered remote, but our facility is exceptional. We provide hands-on training and support so you can feel confident not only using all of our diagnostic equipment, but all that encompasses patient care. We provide ongoing training to maintain gold standard of care to each and every patient.

Education: Our team is dedicated to ongoing education to provide the best standard of care. Keeping current and exchanging ideas promotes positive work ethic and ultimately improves patient care.

Positive work culture: We’re all unique! We believe inclusivity and opportunity are synonymous, promoting feelings of value, equality and being nurtured. We recognise individual learning methods and abilities, and provide a positive and supportive work environment. Caring for staff wellbeing is crucial to maintaining emotional, physical and mental wellness which impacts an individual’s attitude and work ethic so we can continue providing an essential service.

Work/life balance: We believe a great work-life balance is essential for personal wellbeing and in turn, promotes a healthy team morale, client rapport, and ultimately improves patient care. Stanthorpe is just the place to enjoy your down time and close to major cities. A stunning area, rich in gorgeous panoramic views, boutique stores, galleries and cafes, wineries, orchards and vineyards with breathtaking night skies, you can find a myriad of adventurous activities or ways to relax.

New Year’s Day my little Tessa was attacked by 4 Bull Arab dogs it was terrifying I thought I would loose her. Phoned about for a vet. Kirsty was absolutely wonderful and caring, she quickly tended Tessa as well as comforting and explaining everything she was doing to help Tessa. So grateful to have Tessa still with us Thanks to Kirsty.

We rushed two dogs who had been bitten by a red belly black snake to Stanthorpe Vet Care Services out of hours on Saturday afternoon. Vet Amy met us straight away and was able to successfully treat both dogs. The service was incredible and Amy and both dogs had an instant rapport which was really helpful. They trusted her straight away. She was an incredible help, super professional and very kind to us all. The price although considerate (due to the nature and time of the visit) I thought was more than reasonable. This will be our new vet. Thanks Amy

We have 4 fur babies in our family and a visit to Stanthorpe Vet Care is always wonderful, such caring staff, working together as a team. In one of my saddest moments, they really cared and got me through to adopt again. Tip top service.
