STANTHORPE VET CARE

Dr. Amy Oliver BVSc

Dr Amy is an exceptionally driven and motivated veterinary professional who completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at James Cook University in 2012. With over 10 years of experience in a general practice clinic, she has honed her skills and knowledge in the field.

Dr Amy finds great fulfilment in all aspects of general practice work. She takes immense pleasure in building strong relationships with her clients and their beloved pets, appreciating the diverse range of cases she encounters, including small animals, exotics, and wildlife. She firmly believes that animals offer something unique that humans cannot, and ensuring their happiness, along with that of their owners, is deeply meaningful to her. Driven by her passion for animal welfare, Amy feels privileged to make a tangible difference for those who cannot speak for themselves.

When Dr Amy isn’t caring for animals or tending to her family, she dedicates her time and expertise to support expectant mother dogs through her professional whelping business. She finds immense joy in being involved in the miracle of life and providing assistance during this special time.

Amy’s greatest joys lie in spending quality time with her children and husband, embarking on thrilling adventures and memorable road trips. At home, Amy’s menagerie of animals, including poodles, cats, horses, and birds, brings her endless delight and affection.

One of the aspects Amy adores about the veterinary world is the unpredictability of each day. She relishes the excitement of never knowing what unique case or captivating creature may walk through the clinic doors, constantly keeping her on her toes.
