STANTHORPE VET CARE

Dr. Kirstin Widderick BVSc (Hons)

Dr. Kirstin graduated from her University of Queensland’s Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree, with Honours, in 1995. Since then, Kirstin has undertaken a huge variety of education in various veterinary fields, including Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery, Ultrasonography, Radiology, Radiography, Equine and Small Animal Dentistry, and many many more! Kirstin has a passion for her and her staff to continue education to ensure her clinic can provide the best diagnostics and treatments to each and every patient.

Kirstin is immensely passionate about all aspects of the veterinary profession. She has a strong desire for her practice to be able to provide the very best standards of care for all of its patients. This drives the focus on continued education for all staff, as well as the investment in the latest equipment and diagnostic tools for the clinic.

She adores all of her clients and their fur babies and she tries to treat every client with empathy and as if their babies were her own!

She also shows an amazing amount of respect for her team as well, and is always encouraging and facilitating their personal and professional growth. Kirstin completed a business leadership program that has facilitated growth in her leadership style, and has added to the amazing culture and quality of work environment at SVCS.

Kirstin has three beautiful daughters Charlotte, Hannah and Clare and her wonderful husband Greg. She enjoys playing netball with her daughters, going to camp drafts with her family and exercising. The clinic is a major passion of Kirstin’s, and her vision is for her practice to grow and provide the highest standard of care for clients and their pets. She also dreams of one day owning her own cattle property.

Kirstin has many pets! The famous (infamous?) cat Jinx who enjoys riding in cop cars, or any car for that matter, and hanging out at the clinic sometimes. As well as the two lively and loveable Labradors, Nutmeg and TimTam. Two working dogs Lindsey and Izzy and too many horses to count!
