STANTHORPE VET CARE

Dr. Olivia Turner BSc DVM

Dr. Olivia completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Bioscience / Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University in Western Australia in 2020. This year, she was lucky enough to complete a course in Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound. She hopes to further her education in many aspects of Veterinary Medicine and hopes that in the future she will be able to perform small animal orthopaedic surgeries in either a General Practice or Specialist setting.

Aside from all the cute animal patients, Olivia loves meeting all the different people who come attached to them, and the ideas that they bring. Olivia loves working outdoors and always enjoys heading out to property / farm visits. Olivia particularly loves the cases where she is able to make her patients feel instantly better from a simple condition like a bone stuck in the throat, a grass seed in the ear, or a juicy abscess (gross!!)! Every day is different when you’re a vet and there is a huge variety of work. Olivia feels privileged to be a part of such a wonderful, compassionate and fulfilling industry, despite the difficult days that do happen.

Olivia has two rescue dogs at home in Perth, a terrier mix named Buster, and a Lab x Kelpie named Taylor. She also has a rabbit named Smokie and a budgie named Ivy back in Perth! Since moving to Stanthorpe, Olivia has adopted her first cat who she named Leia.

Olivia plays netball in her spare time and she loves collecting DVDs, reading, exploring this beautiful district and furthering her baking skills, which also satisfies her sweet tooth!).
